ALC looks a little green

Beitrag von alwin » Mo 19 Nov, 2001 11:08 am

Hi all freaks,
a question:
Does anybody have an idea why my ALC60-beam looks a little greenish. I've counted 6 lines, the violet one is still present.
The tube voltage is 114V @ 9.5A producing 100mW so I don't think the tube is at the end of it's lifetime.
<coming up... my webpage on the www>
Greetz,
Alwin

Hi Alwin,
i assume that you have an argon ALC60. Argon lasers have always a greenish beam.
Your voltage seems a little on the high end, normally the tube voltage should be around 107-108 Volts according to Sam's Laserfaq.
That indicates a slightly higher than normal tube pressure. Some more running of the laser should cure that.
Happy lasing,
gunnaR
